Anonymous Coward User ID: 80663436 United States 08/19/2021 08:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jesus.. wonder is methane could be a factor As the earth is heating the gases are expanding and seeping out. The gases, a combination of the ones mentioned and others that have not, (s4lph4r and m3th4ne) pool in low-lying areas and around the waterways. Because of the drought, the gases follow down the old creeks, rivers and waterholes. The gulches and gullies are a perfect spot for these gases to gather. S4lph4r river is nearby on the map. They are toxic with explosive properties and that is why the Hazmat crew has been called in. A strong indicator of fire for the region and more asphyxiations. This is happening all along the Sierra Nevadas and is adding to the fires that "suddenly burst into flames". The first thing to go is the ability to think clearly, so to be able to think their way out of a deadly situation is gone. BEWARE |

A perfect example of a person dying in a river/low-lying area where the gases can seep out and cause death or a "sudden burst of flames". I expect way more of these stories, especially drownings. [link to calcoastnews.com] San Luis Obispo police investigating body found in creek San Luis Obispo police say foul play is not suspected in the death. The SLO County Sheriff’s Dive Team is assisting San Luis Obispo police with the investigation. |

User ID: 78846885 United States 08/19/2021 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why take a baby on such a long foot path to a remote campsite? Sure a short day hike, but a camping trip? Hauling all the gear and a baby that is also getting ready to walk around at 1 years old? Does not sound like a responsible thing to do. |

Quoting: Swearbox Could be. They were hiking near some abandoned gold mines. Toxic algae can also produce hydrogen sulfide (H2S). I hope they do autopsies and toxicology reports to find what killed them. Last Edited by Monty Python on 08/19/2021 10:09 PM Monty Python's Flying Circus |

You toxic gas-tards are really something else! Quoting: EDubble Clot shot doesn't explain the dog. Or the baby. Anywhere near Mt Shasta? My earlier fumes comment, I was thinking of volcanic gas. deplorably republican |

Perhaps the dog ate a "Death Angel" mushroom (a very lethal fungus that looks almost exactly like the mushrooms in the supermarket.)The adults thought the mushrooms were safe because the dog didn't hesitate to eat it. There's no accounting for taste with dogs. Maybe the poison mushroom smelled good, to a dog. Baby received a piece from Mom. "Nature's Gift", indeed. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80663436 United States 08/24/2021 09:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Toxicology reports are coming up. [link to www.msn.com (secure)] A couple, their baby and their dog died on a California hiking trail — and officials don’t know why "The lack of definitive answers has led investigators to imagine other, more unusual causes. Carbon monoxide poisoning from a mine or toxic algae in the nearby Merced River are among the leading theories." My words CO is a lighter than air gas. Not probable. That leaves the other one which is heavier than air and rides on the ground. The outdoors is no longer safe. An example of a group of people losing their lives in our beautiful recreational outdoors. It can happen to any of us. The world is changing. There might be more to the wearing of masks outside than what they are letting on. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2460366 United States 10/23/2021 07:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I work in I/T (San Francisco Bay Area). I don't work 4 Google - but I DO interface with software engineers (for other social media - not saying where). What I have noticed is incredible amounts of hubris - (and lack of common sense with these developers and engineers) I'm married to one - btw - and I've saved our azzez over and over as I am the crazy right brained one. Quoting: ruser Not being racizz- but many of the younger engineers are married to Asian women (it's kind of a noticeable "trend") These women seem to naturally lack paranoia (and situational awareness that us western women seem to genetically posess (almost to a fault)). I hope they did not suffer - and I would bet money it was toxic fumes (natural or man made). Be careful people! - and yes - a terrible and sad story. True about the Asian wives and don't forget high end designer drugs. I know the area well. Cam confirm about the Asian women and white Eng/Developers. (Worked in SV for 15 years) The Love-You-Long time attitude is a thing with the women, anything for money'ed white guys. The Hubris in the Devs make them think they are some kind of sexy-beast. Kinda sick to watch one of these relatonships unfold once an Asian chick marks her target. |
