You know with people clinging to wheel wells and latched on to wing flaps. I call bs on this storyline. The media is in overdrive trying to muddy the waters about the US being muscled out of Afghanistan after over-staying a dubious 20 year "welcome". What I recall from back in the day was that the "Taliban" whoever they are boogyman in waiting and I even heard dread mention of al Queda (lol) with the media trying to ressurrect that storyline. The Taliban were a group of tribal leaders that didn't want to have the US build a pipeline across their country giving foreigners an entre to their resources. THen they also wanted to encourage farmers to go back to growing crops but they were no where near as lucrative as Big Pharma contracts they could have to grow poppies. The Taliban kept burning the fields. The US sent in the Army to protect the poppy fields for big business profits and lo and behold... 20 years ago the glut of opiods on the market set up pain clinics all over America to get the cash cows, excuse me, patients addicted to the scripts and when those ran out a new market for heroin which was coincidentally doubling in growth every year that America and Britain controlled the fields and production. Wherever there is corruption the queen and her band of pigs aren't far behind   |

By definition, we DID lose because we weren't victorious and it's either one or the other. Further, if we 'crushed the opposing forces', then why are we even retreating? Short answer: because with all our might and hardware [hardware now left behind as further evidence of our loss] we actually "crushed" nothing. And BTW: we DIDN'T have such restrictive "rules of engagement" during Korea or Vietnam. Those rules you use as an qualifier are a product of the 80's. Quit trying to revise history.
