Totally agree.

Being proud is not a bad thing.
It depends on our behaviour.
But as a lifelong feeling of being better than others, is not the best way to understand all that is. In this case proudness is a wall.

A Dutch guy told me he was proud to be Dutch. He was a Philosophy major at University of Amsterdam. I told him to look for another major

Look inside.

Did you make someone afraid or cry because you wanted to be right?

Did you rationalize to kill billions to make some $$$

In the instance of black pride, I see that as being spawned from a place of unbalance.

If all people were treated equally - this would not have happened.

However, the pendulum swing to the side of people who want to be treated equally and yet are speaking to discriminate against skin color is disturbing. To say the least.

Pride is a strong word.
