Dumbass there is no money in winning a war. America has not had a reason to win a war since WW2. Conflicts are about resource extraction, bases, and regional/ trade lane control.

Nam ended exactly as planned maximum profits. Having to rebuild a country when you already got everything you wanted makes no sense. Much less killing civilians in numbers that might bring harsh words.
