Decades ago, us kids would say it every morning in the school classrooms, but thinking back on it now, no one really knew that why were saying; we were just reciting gibberish and gobbled up words copied from the teachers mouths. We didn’t know what most of those words meant or what they looked like, there was no need to question why we were doing that, it’s just something that kids did in school. We weren’t taught any flag etiquette or what the pledge means or stands for. Lol, thinking back, when I would say “I pledge allegiance”, I literally said it as if it was one single word, like this, “aplejalegions” not know what the fuck I was saying and not caring about it either. Even if kids did know the proper words, none of them knew what “pledge”, “allegiance”, “republic”, “indivisible”, etc meant. In fact, most kids would rephrase “indivisible” as “invisible.”

I believe in the concept called humanity. Very few know what it truly means but once you find out it’ll make your patriotism a lot more solid and strong. That goes for all nations. Then we can understand the merits of patriotism and the fact that as humans we share one planet and that’s the good side of globalism. Because both ideas have merit and good points. Pledging allegiance is nothing more than saying you are allying yourself with this flag or you have loyalty to your nation. In other words, you would do what you can to make sure the nation is preserved, your home.


There is nothing wrong with it and you are not worshipping it as you would the Lord.


I would hope that you have allegiance to the Lord. That is most important.


But, there is nothing wrong with wanting to protect your home. You certainly would not be treasonous, right? In other words, having no loyalty to your homeland is not caring about your homeland. It means that if an invading force came into the land and they changed the way of life by replacing your government you wouldn't care. Would you?


Of course, you would. So would you say that you have loyalty to your homeland? Yes. So you are pledging an allegiance.

I pledge an allegiance to my country. Our Constitution protects my rights to worship my Lord without interference from that state. Not so in certain nations even in this day and age.
