Many stores would have bare shelves after a busy day Not to deny shortage isnt real however Cat nip, cat toys, and half the varieties of canned cat food was a concern at my Walmart. Food looked fully stocked however mid afternoon |

Quoting: TidesofTruth I just didn't think we were there yet. Not to mention w Walmart's ridiculous staffing problems. I just don't understand why we are not hearing more about this as if the media is considering this the new normal or somehow the American people deserve to live less than now as punishment for not unfulfilling hëir bidens dictates by July 4. What say you? PICS TO FOLLOW . . . haven't had water in most stores around me for weeks. this shi* could get bad real quick |

August is always the hardest hit #1 shopping FTM month of the year at Walmart due to back to school. Then factor in possible rumors of shutdowns and this is what is happening. I can't post pics, yet a lot of empty spaces from pasta to canned goods to candy to TP. When I topping off, others were doing the same as me a week before the FTM hit. I tend to avoid stores from 1st-7th because it looks like the locusts hit and wipe everything out. |

Let them leave their ghettos and riot, we'll be waiting for them! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79698064 This is a stupid & self defeatimg attitude. Why do you want people to suffer who have NOTHING to do with what a small fraction of the population in collusion with corrupt public servants and multinational corporate interests are trying to do ti this country. If you could overcome your racist instincts for a moment and think about it, do you really want kids to starve? If your answer is yes, you need to work on yourself because something is seriously off. |

Show up the fresh stuff, Produce and meats. I never saw a significant reduction in either during the worst of last year. People don't buy and hoard that stuff cause it goes bad quickly. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80687335 08/04/2021 08:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Local Walmart has the same issues. They blame it on two things. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80376300 #1. In most cases, they have the food in the back, but not enough workers to get it out on the shelves. #2. SOme suppliers are running low on stock and cant fulfill orders - which is also likely due to the fact that they cant get workers to make the products. This is just what I was told at my local walmart, coincidentally...today. Walmart doesn't keep shit in the back. Anything back there has arrived in the last few hours or is waiting to ship out or is seasonal stuff waiting for a change over in the next day or so. What you see on the shelves is pretty much what you got. |

Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |

WalMart employee here, under the new structure and having people take covid leave almost non stop prevents us from getting full shleves. we have a shit ton of merch in the back going bad but Walmart is too tight to hire more people and with people taking advantage of the covid leave its difficult to get staffed. |

Humans can eat pet food? Cat food gets low cause cats are picky as hell. Only new pet owners buy the canned variety pack. My Walmart canned selection was scarce while the huge box canned variety pack was untouched. Last time I bought one, my cat turned up his nose at all the beef and chicken flavors, They only like seafood. The only time they will eat chicken if its fresh and I made it. Seafood flavors are the flavors always out They will put barrels out of beef and no one buys it |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80687335 08/04/2021 08:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Every week I buy a couple days worth of non perishable stuff to put to the side. It's starting to add up. I once kept a large supply of food. Many months worth. I centered it around a bucket of rice, a bucket of oats, and 2 buckets of wheat. Everything else was just normal food kept in excess. Now I'm down to a bucket of oats and maybe 2 weeks of canned food besides my normal week supply of food. I'm building it back up though. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9971844 I realize that bilge is creature-comfort food for various people. But too much sugar/carb over the decades is the main reason that so many Americans have become increasingly overweight and unhealthy. However, the con artists throughout the elite in medicine, academia and corporations keep pushing the lame, false notion that "fat! fat! fat!" is the reason for obesity. Not "sugar! sugar! sugar!" (How many foods tout "Less Sugar!"? Instead they still often tout "Less fat!") Look at what that same crowd is doing regarding mRNA vaccines. |

User ID: 77504359 United States 08/04/2021 08:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That stuff isn't food. It's manufactured foodstuffs. IT would make sense that they are running out because the distribution is all fucked. I only eat vegetables, eggs and oils. No sugar, no flour/gluten or grains, no meat or dairy. But my family is omnivorous. Both the butcher and the produce market are fully stocked. I did notice, however, when I had to buy sugar for my hummingbird feeders ... dollar general was CLEAN OUT. Also, when my man was looking for steaks ... Walmart was all picked through and almost bare, and what steaks they did have were $12.99/lb. He was NOT going to pay that for crappy looking steaks, so he went to the meat market and got New York strip sale for $7.99/lb and the rest were around $9.99/lb. The big stores ...they rely on just in time systems and large distribution networks, not to mention food manufacturers themselves. The farm stands and meat markets who don't have plenty of food. I'm in Southern NJ. Last Edited by SugarSand on 08/04/2021 08:32 PM When the shit hits the fan and the end is just nigh, will you cry out to Heaven? Will you lie down and die? Anonymous Coward User ID: 47380168 United States 08/04/2021 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The truth is Walmart pays the least per item to manufacturers because of bulk deals. When products became more scarce from manufacturers Walmart’s orders took less priority. They sold first to places like Harris Teeter, Wegnans, etc that would pay a higher per item piece. I learned this from an insider. If TSHTF Walmart will be the first place that runs out of goods. |
