Anonymous Coward User ID: 76902260 United States 08/04/2021 07:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The canned meat was bare, but then every time wife goes she buys a dozen of some... Keystone meats are really flippin good, same cost per lb as fresh, and stamped good past 5years! Other meats are great, well priced still, and again good for years without cooling. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80376300 United States 08/04/2021 07:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Local Walmart has the same issues. They blame it on two things. #1. In most cases, they have the food in the back, but not enough workers to get it out on the shelves. #2. SOme suppliers are running low on stock and cant fulfill orders - which is also likely due to the fact that they cant get workers to make the products. This is just what I was told at my local walmart, coincidentally...today. |

Quoting: TidesofTruth I just didn't think we were there yet. Not to mention w Walmart's ridiculous staffing problems. I just don't understand why we are not hearing more about this as if the media is considering this the new normal or somehow the American people deserve to live less than now as punishment for not unfulfilling hëir bidens dictates by July 4. What say you? PICS TO FOLLOW . . . Cat Food. It comes and then goes. When you hit it, you gotta git it. Also, the prices have gone up now. I always say, the pet food is the canary in the coal mine. |

What say you? PICS TO FOLLOW . . . I didn't think to get pics at the time but we just came back from a Metro Detroit ALdi and the claimed they were "remodeling" but the shelves were mostly bare. No frozen items. Produce was scary looking. Barely any meat and what they did have was more expensive than normal. Cereal was sparse. Wine was sparse. It reminded me of a scene from an dystopian movie where the shelves are basically picked bare. There is a shortage of Baby Wipes at CVS, Walmart and what they do have is ridiculously priced. We stopped to get scripts and CVS shelves were barren as well. Something is definitely going on. .“Perfer et obdura, dolor hic tibi proderit olim. I don't think I've ever used curry powder per se but I use Tumeric and Cumin on almost everything... can't get enough of that stuff. Tons of it on the shelves for now around here. |

Same.. Our cats like Fancy Feast and it's been hit or miss on varieties. I was told by a manager at Pet Supplies Plus that when Covid 1.0 lockdown happened, they had enough stockpiled to last 6 months without having to get new stock. It was mostly gone months ago. We have been having better luck with Chewy with cat and dog food for our furries. .“Perfer et obdura, dolor hic tibi proderit olim. This is just what I was told at my local walmart, coincidentally...today. It's difficult to get drivers, too. Lots of them quit when there were all those riots around the country. They didn't want to drive through unsafe areas and put themselves at risk for what they made. That's the excuse my b-i-l gave for quitting driving. |
