Questioning government suggestions is no longer "punk"
Offspring drummer Pete Parada has been fired by the “punk” band Offspring for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Parada had been in the band for over fourteen years and is following the advice of his doctor who said that he should not get it due to his pre-existing conditions.

I’ve got some unfortunate and difficult news to share. I know many of my close friends and family would’ve preferred to hear this privately first – and I apologize for the public nature of my disclosure, but I don’t know how to have this conversation multiple times. 1/17

— Pete Parada (@PeteParada) August 2, 2021

“Given my personal medical history and the side-effect profile of these jabs, my doctor has advised me not to get a shot at this time,” Parada wrote in a Twitter thread about his firing.

So which part of this is punk, exactly? The part where they obey all government suggestions, or the part where Pete Parada takes his doctor's suggestions?

The kids sure aren't alright.

Re: Questioning government suggestions is no longer "punk"
Punk was always about freedom, freedom for everybody, to be themselves.

What has happened is the establishment left has gerrymandered a lot of the talking points that used to be the general rhetoric of the punk scene.

And that pretty much destroyed the last remnant of punk.

Which was already hobbled by much success and mainstream limelight, thanks to, among others, the Offspring.

It is fitting. Hope they all had side effects. Hope they look in the mirror and see the sellouts they are.

And congrats to the drummer. Too bad he had to whine about his health history and whatnot. He should have just said, fuck no I'm not taking it, I'm punk rock. Damn the man! I do what I want. That's what he should have said.

Yeah well it was probably the label that fired him. That would be my guess. The label can just come in and install another drummer that did get vaxed. Then the label can trot the band out at vaxed-only shows.

Another angle on this thing is the lead singer has a pHd in like biochemistry or something. You'd think if anybody would sing the truth about the mRNA jabs, it would be him. Turns out he's just another corporate whore.

On the state of punk, it depends what you call punk. Offspring was punk for a while. Not sure what it is anymore. It was one thing to be a middle class suburban teen throwing bows in the mosh pit. It is another to be a middle aged, middle class suburban dad trying to make punk music. Not saying it can't be done. But it begs that age old question of what exactly is punk? Again, I think it was always about freedom, for everybody, freedom no matter what.

Just about all of the bands that were ‘rebellious’ back in the day are now 100% NWO Establishment shills… it’s quite the phenomena.

Shiite 90s bands like the offspring were just toxic mimics of real punk that was over by the early 80s.

clappa

No-one wants to tour with someone who could catch Covid at any point of the tour and get hospitalized. Trying to find a replacement is a hassle and they might even have to stop the tour.

It's a sensible business decision.

There won't be any offspring except for those left unvaccinated by the poison jab so there is poetic justice at least and I think that is pretty punk.

Yep.

This guy spells it clearly and thoroughly, although it's in a 5 hour video (hard to stop watching).

Sadly most people won't watch it to understand what's going on and why.

Break it into 15-20 minute segments if you have to, but I HIGHLY suggest watching it if you want to know what's happening and why.

punk and all other degenerate rot was just to give a provisional freedom, a destructive poison to the traditional worldview, so that even heavier, subtle enslavement can be achieved. they had to fracture what everyone was as a unit. prior to this type of shit, and in some parts of the world still, from 8 to 80, they enjoyed entertainment in common, same music, same everything. modern culture deliberately fractured all this so that families hate each other. kids had walkman to go tune out and be programmed with music about hate and angst. its diabolical when you really think about it.
