This type of event would 100% explain why elon musk has been given a blank cheque for starship including in orbit refueling, and starlink.
If be can get starship to orbit, refuel it, it could stay in orbit for years, exactly what the mars manned mission would take. Hundreds of starships, in orbit, able to move behind the earth for the nova, able to use starlink to sustain all human knowledge and global internet, able to self land anywhere on the planet once shit settles down.
It explains the speed at which he building infrastructure and starlink network. The size of starships etc. If starship works, expect massive numbers being built, filled, and parked in orbit.
