Next is a wave of joblessness on top of a wave of homelessness.

If they dont fix this soon, know that things are in motion and going into overdrive.

If this happens, wouldn't the banks go into bankruptcy?

Would that cause a financial collapse of the banks?

I seems this would be a worse collapse than 2008.

I guess the Great Reset plan includes these banks failing.

Its like building 7. They essentially pulled the plug and let the building fall.

If they dont fix the eviction problem by Wednesday, the only logically conclusion is that this nothing compared to what is coming and much, much worse is coming.

Congress cannot "fix" the Eviction Problem; the Constitution explicitly forbids them from doing any such thing.

Article I, Section 10, Clause 1:

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

The states have barley touched the COVID rental relief funds. Our house is paid off and no unemployment taken. I think the problem is the states lap.

Bullshit. Congress has no business inserting itself into landlord-tenant agreements.

This country has a bunch of deadbeats who have received stimulus checks and unemployment - even while they could be working - who have decided not to pay their rent. Landlords, have been forced to carry their deadbeat asses while still having to maintain their properties and pay taxes. I'm not talking big corporate landlords, who I don't give a shit about, but landlords who own one or two rentals. These tenants will end up skating on the owed rent and the landlords will be saddled with the loss.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

“Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.”

– Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project

Money was given by the govt to help pay their bills, if you didn’t pay your rent this entire time, that’s on you. Wtf did you think was going to happen, you would get to live free your entire life? Not planning is no excuse.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78624400

Thieves are all they are. Given free money and they spent it on weed and a stupid new tattoo. Somebody worked to build the place they’re renting. Someone saved their hard earned money to buy and maintain it and insure it and pay taxes on it.

They want it for free.

No way I’d own rental properties these days. I was going to build a duplex and let my kids live in it through community college, then give it to them so they could rent it out. No way with these new rules.

Two more rental properties that won’t be built.

Pay your rent, people. Or buy a tent. The choice is YOURS to make. It's not the government's place to manage your life and finances for you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74141841

why are you folks such Governmental ass lickers and shills

last year most of the businesses were closed for more than a year, most of them, because Trump declared national emergency for sniffles

people had to buy food, clothes and feed their families

now when they're trying to start up with their lives, without the resources from previous months, you're evicting these people?!

are you aware that more than 50% of Americans don't have 400 bucks in their saving accounts

and you're screaming, should've been prepared better

how fucking lame

what are you going to do about it? evictions are inevitable. they are going to happen. get ready for it.

So the issue is the people who blindly believe whatever the
government tells them and now they are facing the
consequences of that choice?

In other words, largely the same people who caused the
economic crisis in the first place with their 'sheepish'
behavior?

sheep

These sound like the very sort of people who could benefit
from a lesson in blind belief in government.

Historically, such blind belief has led to catastrophe and
collapsed societies. Not the sort of thing one should
advocate, you'd think.

What exactly do you think will happen? Doesn't seem even close to 911. Many people will get booted out for not paying rent, can't say I feel sorry for them. I was out of work due to family medical needs and had to use my 401K to pay rent, and if I ran out I had a plan to move. I don't know why people think they can live rent free.
 Quoting: Keilani

DUH because they shut down the economy last year. I know MANY workaholics who couldn't work last year for months because they worked at bars and restaurants in New Orleans that were closed. They didn't do anything wrong. Even if they had a little savings NO ONE could have planned for that. It was tyrannical and not in any way predictable.

Create a hoax.

Fuck-up the economy.

Permit people to freeload by not paying their rent.

Landlord eventually can't make his mortgage payment anymore.

Morty and Izzy at the bank foreclose on the landlord.

Morty and Izzy now own the property.

Morty and Izzy evict Shanaynay and DaQuarious.

The worst thing that will happen will be people will forced to get jobs and pay for where they’re living again. I live in an extremely, severely economically depressed region. Think Detroit, but lesser-known. There are help wanted signs everywhere. Places are having to close down because they can’t find help. For us accelerationists, we want collapse. This won’t even be close to a collapse.
