I am also just learning about something called a Ghost flower which I think also works for nerves. I will post more when I have finished looking into it. It's a very good idea to have something for the nerves these days! |

I used to go around in morning collecting dew off different plants. I had the person in mind who I was making the elixir for. The plants really do talk to you, they want to help. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73248680 United Kingdom 07/30/2021 11:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many people are concerned about 'cytokine storm' at the moment. But Nature is always one step ahead and it is there that you will find herbs, fungi and plants known as Adaptogens. They are called this because the have the ability to modulate our immune system. Whether under active or over active Adaptogens will bring it back into balance. Cinnamon is a bark but it also has this adaptogenic ability. Could Cinnamon modulate the immune response in severe COVID-19? Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic’s first emergence, limited progress has been made in developing effective and safe antivirals to prevent and treat infection by the pathogen responsible, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). A new study recently appeared in the journal Frontiers in Plant Science that describes the potential for two common plant products to make a difference in the management of severe COVID-19. In severe and critical COVID-19 patients, a so-called cytokine storm has been identified, characterized by exaggerated inflammation and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), often with multisystem damage and organ failure. The inflammatory response is due to the production of high levels of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS/RNS) that establish the vicious cycle of further inflammation. The inflammatory damage that can be done to the lung alveoli, the endothelium, and the ingrowth of blood vessels has become clear. ... The current study is a follow-up of a prior screen that involved 99 herbal extracts thought to be anti-inflammatory. It zooms in on the top two, namely, Hop (Humulus lupulus, cones) and Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum alias C. zeylanicum, bark) extracts. These were found to bring about steep declines in activation of a key regulator of pro-inflammatory cytokines, namely, transcription factor NF-?B (nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells). I collect branch tips in the spring when they are at peak growth, just before flowering. Dry it and then use grain alcohol to make a tincture. 1 teaspoon a day keeps the doctor away. Larrea tridentata (Creosote bush), an abundant plant of Mexican and US-American deserts and its metabolite nordihydroguaiaretic acid Abstract Although controversial, Creosote bush, Larrea tridentata (Sesse and Moc. ex DC) Coville, is used to treat a variety of illnesses including infertility, rheumatism, arthritis, diabetes, gallbladder and kidney stones, pain and inflammation. Recently, it has been used as a nutritional supplement. If you (or someone else) gets stung, take tobacco and wad into mouth. Work it like a chaw (a Southern thing), slap the nasty mess like a poultice on sting. Works like a charm. And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking. What works best is that stuff everyone mows over on their lawn...near their driveway. Broad leaf Plantain. You've seen it...everyone has seen it. It has that little sprig of seeds that grow out of the center if the leaves. If you chew that up and slap it on a sting or a bug bite of any kind it takes the itch away. I actually make an oil with it. This stuff also helps with stomach issues. I had a stomach "bug" last year and I'd chew and swallow a couple of the leaves and the pain in my gut would dissipate. This plant has tons of benefits and most people try to kill it. Check it out: [link to www.survivalsullivan.com (secure)] |

Chinese Skullcap (make sure it is the chinese, not the western) Cordyceps. Kudzu Boneset You can check his website, he probably has updates. He has series of books on herbal medicines. Two or more specifically on Lyme. He goes into the science of both the illnesses and the herbs. Last year you couldn't get the skullcap because of its use in these viruses. Seed shortage too.
