They are going to pass their 1.2 trillion dollar infrastrucutre bill and let 10% of Americans become homeless at the same time. Kinda overshadows any success of an infrastructure bill.

What will be the repercussions of eliminating the moratorium? Will home prices plunge over the next couple months. I am guessing YES and already seeing it happen, even in Florida. Houses are staying up longer and more sellers are reducing their prices.

When the family moved we sold all rental properties to make a clean break and to simplify our daily lives. Duplexes, houses and a six unit apartment building.

Dodged a bullet. We are not rich and needed the rents to pay the mortgages barely making it by doing everything we possibly could ourselves to save money. Idea was to work hard and sacrifice to build up equity so we could sell for a capital gain later. Been out of the business for quite some time now but I can't imagine how landlords operating on a shoestring budget like we were are staying solvent with the moratorium in place. We would have been destroyed financially if this had happened to us.

So, lets say I rent a house and I can't make as income from renting it because of this, it's no use to me, and costing me property taxes and insurance, I'm loosing money. All a long my Property/House is going down in value. I can't Evict, can I sale it with people living it? To a nice Asset Company like Blackrock?

If it was "there" (sic) property why would the pretendent need do anything? He is clearly discriminating against property owners. To arbitrarily ignore the concept of equal protection under the law is typical commie mindset. Take resources away from one class and give it free to those that didn't earn it in exchange for votes.

Elections coming next year so the odds are good the left will fuck property owners some more on behalf of their freeloading voter base.

This is a fun subject no one talks about. As soon as those evictions and foreclosures are given the green light every property in the US will plummet in value. The repercussions from that will cripple the economy in short order.

Then these people could have continued to pay rent just like everyone else. If they need a job, go find one. There are millions of them out there now that the federal government is PAYING people to stay home.

The people that are having problems paying rent can also pay rent with the money that the fed is giving them to stay home.

Don't think so. People want out of risky investments and see properties as a safe haven. Mortgage rates are low and many buyers are paying CASH. Hard for a thief to put a house in their pocket and walk away with it. Bonds pay next to nothing, stocks are at near record highs, government threatening to go cashless with crypto and the precious metals market is highly rigged and manipulated by mega banks on behalf of government to protect the dollar.

I do think houses are over priced in some markets so some loses will be taken but overall it's a decent place to park some cash for the time being.

Harder to vaccinate people when they are migrant on the streets, easier when they are housed

It's very interesting because Biden knows he cannot attempt a lockdown again if the moratorium is over. The only way people are going to start working and improving their income is if the stimulus is gone and they face eviction. I hope he is unsuccessful in extending it. July was supposed to be the "last time" it was extended.
