Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 79514875 07/24/2021 02:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wonder at what point it will be possible to secure a loan from a bank in fiat, which will enable you to live, on the back of your crypto holdings? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80650480 I too am wondering this. I have reached a point now where I can just buy a house without relying on a bank, but I do wonder how banks will treat people who make a living in DeFi since you can draw from it like a salary but I don't think they recognize it as a steady source of income even though it's more secure than a lot of industries these days. Thanks for taking the time and giving some thought and a reply to my question OP. I do believe banks will eventually have their own in-house API which you will be able to enter your wallet address and they will be able to view the wallets transaction history. Prove it by sending a certain amount from that address and they will assess a persons risk like this. I think at least 5 years away. The only way I can live off it now is by converting to fiat by using a company I am registered with. I pay $15 for every $2000 I convert right now. Or buy a house out-right because I don't believe I would qualify for a mortgage even if I can prove I make $35,000/month. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68939999 I think you should in vest in good homesteading women and have them grow food and mend clothes for you. They way the world is going. You not very smart, going to be lonely with all that cryto you wont be able to eat or wear. When the cyberpandemic happens. I have given up on women. I had a 7 year relationship and a 5 year relationship and for the most part both women were identical. They had very little respect for men and were very self-absorbed. I am currently focusing on providing a life for myself that I find comfortable and I will wait until the next generation of women grow up cause millennial women are awful. I am sure there are exceptions... but it's hard to find a decent woman who's mantra is "you don't need a man". Sorry to hear that, it is unfortunate. There are good women out there that drive to be good homesteaders and make sure their man is taken care of. Every woman needs a good man. Best of luck to you Cryto...oh I mean Cryto-knight LOL |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80595812 You are either one cheap fuk, or a liar. Giving people money is not a good thing. While they were taking time to educate them self in DeFi, I helped by giving them some coin to pair with. If i just randomly gave them crypto, I would not be helping anyone. In fact, giving someone money for free can be bad for them. Especially if they have bad habits. |

I try not to harbour any resentment and I approach every new relationship with as much of an open mind as possible, but I've reached a point in my life where finding a partner is one of my last priorities. |

For those unfamiliar with cryptocurrencies, how would someone even get started? Any books, web sites, recommended software purchases would be helpful. 2.) There have been news reports about crypto theft from hackers. How does one go about protecting the crypto assets from theft? |

The problem is there are legit places to make 1% - 2% daily on relatively safe coins, but there are also 100x as many scams that offer the same thing. I finally started building a decent portfolio, managed to short BTC when COVID hit back in 2020 march. But, I got liquidated because BTC went from $3000 back to $9000 and never came back down. Just kept going up lol. Landed on DeFi back in summer 2020. Rest has been history. I bought a massive stake in an online casino betfury.io which i used to bankroll DeFi There are several programming languages that can be used on a lot of these newer Smart Chains. Solidity is a big one. |

Download Trust wallet and Create new wallet. Or download Metamask and create a new wallet. You will be given a 12 word phrase. Write those 12 words down and then hide it and never tell anyone those words. Also, never enter those 12 words into anywhere until you 100% sure you are entering it into a legit wallet provider from a verified source, (metamask, coinomi. etc.) You can use those 12 words to store all your crypto. If you create a new BTC wallet, enter those 12 words and you get access to your BTC wallet. Same for Ethereum, enter those same 12 words and you get access to your ETH wallet. If you lose your phone or tablet, just re-download Coinomi or Trust wallet and restore it using those 12 words. Stay off centralized exchanges unless you are using them as an off/onramp. Don't store your crypto on them because they own your keys. |

Problem with MATIC is less users and volume, but more people and volume are going over there. The positive thing is the gas fees are really really really low. In fact, you can get free gas if you run out as well. Here is a great place to get started in your DeFi career: [link to polycrystalfinance.medium.com (secure)] [link to polycrystal.finance (secure)] Use METAMASK and connect to MATIC RPC. |
