ya everything we see today is the return of the royals to power and the end of freedom for the sheeple.
 Quoting: Edmond Dantès

I'm wanting to believe they're desperately trying to hang onto power which is obsolete - and desperate people do desperate things.

Our friend Black Ghost who hasn't been here lately, posted something to the effect of

God takes what is meant for evil, and uses it for good

on twitter the other day.
 Quoting: Vision Thing

Sounds like hopium.
 Quoting: My Foolish Daydream

So, what you're saying is Hopium is a steal at $.39....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77978657

Sure, whatever. I don't even know what 39 cents is referencing, but sure go grab some. Buy some gala too I guess.

Last year the film Moonfall came out right before Terra Luna crashed. In a few weeks this film comes out. The two lead characters are named Wade Ripple and Ember Lumens. Signal for something possibly.

There's a good chance the movie industry takes the same turn the music industry did in the early 2000s when Napster came around. It wasn't entirely Napster's fault, but that time period marked a new era where musicians could get professional studio sound from their home offices. Combining this with internet pirating that ultimately led to streaming, music became disposable in many ways. No one sells music anymore. Musicians are expected to give their music away for free now. It's kind of sad. There's always going to be collectors and fans that buy the physical/digital copies, but for the most part, no one ever feels the need to spend a single dime on it anymore.

Now with ai technology, we could see the same sort of boom for amateur filmmakers. I will say that Hollywood special effects no longer feel very special, but movie studios right now treat their intellectual property a lot differently than Record labels treat their recording artists. Movie studio intentionally put out bait torrents to bust people, and we're talking big money. You can get dropped by your internet provider if you get caught torrenting a Hollywood movie. It used to be like that with the music industry too, but that's a thing of the past. The music industry found that they had to turn to live shows to make bulk of their money though. That's why concert tickets are so outrageously priced now.

Will people shell out 100s of dollars per ticket to see a new Marvel movie in the theater? Will streaming services charge 100s of dollars per month? This is what we're looking at just from a industry financial perspective.

From the art perspective, it's good in some ways, and absolutely awful in others. Deep fake tech will get good enough to where studios can make Indiana Jones movies with a young Harrison Ford feel effortless. I expect the new big thing in Hollywood to be actors, composers, and cinematographers to start licensing their likenesses and signature styles.

Copyrights will only be a flimsy dam though. Black market movies, like videogame ROM hacks will flourish. What a crazy time to be alive.
It's just a bad day, not a bad life. If you run, I will run, until my last breath.

XRP is only a foreign investment now.
Did they give them the keys to get to that point?
Will it be moot point if they clone XRP?

There have been some lively twitter spaces about how AI will play out in the future.

I'm thinking it's going to make new kinds of art possible, where you can imagine something in detail and make it into a movie just by talking or telling a story.

Like if you have an ideal city in your mind, you could describe it, and AI could make a 3 d model of it that was animated

Plus it could tell you how to build it

Tell you who to invite to live there

It could map out the bridle paths

And give you a blueprint for an ideal music venue, how to install a PA sound system and how to construct a dance floor

And a business plan to franchise it

It could do all this with voice only and in seconds flat

I will write more when I'm not on my phone, just woke up

I am well aware it will speed up all the worst things

But it will or can speed up a lot of good stuff as well

Here is a question, how will it affect cryptocurrency utility?

Seems likely civilization will be split very soon. 2 versions of history will coincide with each other. I'm guessing most of us here declined the vaccine. This will be that 100 fold.
