Lawsuit settled in 2015 called it a currency, digital bridge asset, utility token, there are many labels but one thing it is not is a security (unlike ETH, or tokens exchanges offer - binance coin anyone?)

It's an absolute behemoth & retail buying or selling has no effect on price, maybe in time we shall see at what price point brings peak efficiency for global liquidity?

I placed them on Sologenic DEX using XUMM.

The XRP stays under my own private keys in XUMM wallet.
I have successfully had limit buy orders fill in the DEX from XUMM before.

I wonder if there will be enough liquidity?

Or hopefully I would have enough time to swap XRP to XLM and send to Coinbase to cash out.

I have cashed out XLM several times in the last few months and it was very efficient and trouble free.

I have used coinbase to cash out to bank account
I have used coinbase card to cash out at ATM
I have used coinbase card to buy things

All worked flawlessly.

But I didn't keep the XLM there, I sent the XLM to cash out. And in all cases it was available immediately.

They gave me messages saying it would take a week to hit my bank account, but it was there overnight.

I don't know exactly what XrPaynet is doing.

The other thing I have looked into is using the MoneyGram integration in L0bstr to cash out directly into physical cash at a MoneyGram service counter.

I have never tried it as the only one service center here locally is participating and I have no way to get there.
I had hoped that the service counter at the grocery store nearby would do it, but I guess they are not full service Moneygram.

But a person could, swap XRP to XLM and send it to L0bstr, then swap the XLM to USDC and use the integrated MoneyGram account to cash out to fiat.

In theory.

You can also onboard fiat into crypto the same way, make an order in the app and go pay CASH for USDC at MoneyGram in person.

It all sounds really good and revolutionary but I have never tried it.

looks like Flare just used the XRP community for its size and now has gone back on its word.

Flare promoted itself as decentralized community and their first move is to submit a proposal without any alternative.

of course they hold the most tokens so they get the most votes.

also, coinbase, binance us, bitstamp, etc hold a majority of the coins that were airdropped and can vote and wrap and delegate before they give out any.


You can bet the exchanges will be voting for the proposal to pass because it takes money away from the XRP community and gives to the FTSO.

If you want anything else you have to wrap and delegate and cant touch for 3 years.

The original deal had it being airdropped every month regardless.
