I have always claimed exempt from the time i was 18, i am 56 now. Never been a problem even after an audit in 2005 and i told them what theyvwere doing is illegal and asked for proof as too why i am required to pay income tax on my earnings, they were not able to produce proof and havnt heard from them since, still claim exempt to this date!

I agree there is no law, but I personally am not interested in ever talking to the IRS about anything.

But the point of my post is.. the IRS thinks this lady is dead... So why not claim exempt and enjoy the extra money? She'll never hear from the IRS since she's "dead". She's also an idiot.

The people that are getting tossed in the klink are the ones that havevpeople working for them and collect the taxes but dont forward them to the irs in essence stealing from the employee, the irs just pursues charges and wins in the name of the person the collected taxes were stolen from. Hmm hmm ex. Wesley snipes.. they

You can claim exempt on your w-2 and be tax free during the year, but when you file your 1040, you will have to enter your actual number of dependents and exemptions and pay what you actually owe based on those correct numbers.
