Hard to believe a year ago we were worried about it overfilling!

Ever since some poster here informed me that they literally allow 50% of the water to flow into the ocean to save an endangered smelt, I don't give two fucks really. They brought the water shortages on themselves.

I mean, extinction is not great but in the grand scheme of things to waste that much water on one non-essential species... they only have themselves to blame.

They were saying they "lost 500,000 thousand acre feet of water. They said the run off was short that amount and made the excuse it just soaked into the ground ? In another "poor me" or "cry for me" California article the water wizards were saying it ....... evaporated !?! My theory is they are stashing water in the D.U.M.B.'s or D.U.A.B's (deep underground AMAZON bases).

California has abundant geothermal plants. Use that power to de-dalinate the Pacific which is literally right there. Wth

They've been dumping all the run off into the ocean for years. If they didn't all the dams would fail. Was there when the Feds had to intervene over the Folsom dam, that thing is about to blow.

Gold Rush! Oroville Spillway Emergency Creates Bonanza of Gold

The Oroville Spillway emergency in California may have one silver — or gold — lining: The debris kicked up by weeks of heavy rain and runoff is now flecked with gold, and amateur gold panners are enjoying quite the bonanza.

The "gold rush" is occurring along the Feather and Yuba rivers, which are fed by the Oroville Dam. Of course, would-be panners should take note: It's unlikely that panners will hit the jackpot and retire with steamer trunks full of gold bars; the average haul from panning the river lately is worth just $40 to $300, CBS5 reported.
