2 hours would be tens of millions. That person lied obviously. Amazon would never give an ETA. But it went down for less than an hour once around 2014 and it was millions.

I think when things are working normally again I'm going to be changing my Amazon password, just to be safe. There's no telling what is going on when a site is having issues and we will likely never know for sure.

A few sources I found online indicate that Amazon brings in about $800k per minute. It's been down for a little over an hour now, so that's about $48 million lost so far assuming those buyers don't just wait and buy their products later tonight or tomorrow instead (which most probably will).

That's actually a pretty good idea. Honestly, even if it goes up today, I might wait a few days until I order again.

Wow, that's some crazy cash. A lot of people might buy later, but corporate wise they're still going to look at it as a loss, because people like me are just going to be like, nah, didn't need it that bad anyways.
