Moon Landings - How in the actual hell did they.... | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81912280 Thailand 01/20/2022 02:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Get the Lunar Rover up there, unpack it and then bolt it all together. Seems to me the first landing they had "the" lunar lander craft, big enough for a couple of men (yea lunar lander door too small for their giant backpacks, but that is another conversation) Quoting: MoonGod 61808181 Then, they returned, in the SAME model lunar lander and OH! - suddenly it has room for a little car too! - ZERO images of unpacking it or assembling it - you know, with those giant space suits and they are just going to slap that baby together like an Indy pit crew. Says here, the Rover was stored in Quadrant 1 [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] "Each LRV was carried to the Moon folded up in the Lunar Module's Quadrant 1 Bay. After being unpacked, each was driven an average of 30 km, without major incident. These three LRVs remain on the Moon." Yea, have a look at little Quadrant 1 (same size as Quadrant III facing the viewer of the image) - that whole car fits into that huh? [link to history.nasa.gov (secure)] Oh right, as they unload it, it unfolds and builds itself!! Hell we all knew that right [link to history.nasa.gov (secure)] [link to upload.wikimedia.org (secure)] buying that? They expect us to believe the official narrative and - at the same time - swallow a line about losing the technology to return to the moon? Pull the other one. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81972885 Spain 02/03/2022 07:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | how do we determine how fast a bowling ball falls from a 100m height on the moon? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80556082 how far away (minimal) should we place a stationary bowling ball from the earth such that it will drift/accelerate naturally towards the moon using the moon's gravity? what is terminal velocity on the moon and how do we observe it from earth? 1.) Math 2.) Slightly past the equilibrium point which changes as the moon orbits the earth as it isn't a completely circular orbit. 3.) There is no terminal velocity on the moon as there is no air resistance. Details to come, (if I feel like looking some stuff up) The main question was: "how do we observe it from earth?" |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81972885 Spain 02/03/2022 08:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My only question is this: with all of today's technology and sending rover to Mars, why haven't they been back to the moon? Quoting: bajabetty3 Why would we? If you can come up with a compelling reason that would benefit anyone, I'm sure they would consider it. Most of the space race was nothing more than beating the Russians to it and proving to them that we could. Mission accomplished. Next? Why go to mars? I'm thinking it's just another pissing contest. on the other hand, If we are intent on "saving the race", Mars makes way more sense than the moon. We could actually manage to have a self sustaining colony there at some point. Much easier than the hard vacuum of the moon. Looks like all this "saving the race" from covid is a good window into what "saving the race" with self-sustainable mars colonies would look like. Is there such think as peak insanity? |

One of the first silent movies was about going to the moon. It was very theatrical, a filmed play. They convinced the mind, mass hypnosis of what they wanted you to believe the moon was. So that when they shot the moon landing movie it was so easy to digest and believe. Space is not real, it is a construct of Science FICTION and story telling to get you to believe in a Masonic God. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75167137 Figure out how much oxygen is needed for 3 men to last a week. Then figure out the volume and weight of the O2. Then figure out where they put it all.....(If you can, you'd be the first.) Might this be an issue for the international space station too? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 81661453 United States 02/03/2022 08:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NASA just gave you a mind wipe: [link to www.flightjournal.com (secure)] Quoting: YHWZDQ 80591416 Look at how flimsy that lunar module is. The shit really is made out of paper. It supposedly had an aluminium skin about the thickness of 3 layers of Reynold's Wrap, and was pressurized to sea-level Earth normal atmosphere. In a hard vacuum. Think about what should have happened, in that case. I'll give you a clue ---> This is my exact argument to people who think it was all legit. I tell them look at an airliner hull thickness and compare to the Lunar module...noting as ypu point out the Lem was in a vacuum and aircraft at altitude still have some pressure on the outside. Another thing I point out, and if someone here could do the calculation I'd love to see it, and that is the Lunar Lander had enough fuel to decelerate from 17000mph to 0 and then launch from the surface fihhting the moon's limited gravity and accelerating AND maneuvering to 17000 mph to rejoin the command module? Lol no way. Also imagine trying to meet up with an object traveling that fast and in the void of space...with 1960 tech. The whole thing is laughable and I feel sorry for these "NASA can do no wrong" people that just don't get the level of deception going on. The progression of technology PROVES they lied. Im not even sure it would be possible today, with today’s technology. Yet they tell us they did it in the 60’s? I think they lied for national security reasons outside my pay grade. Also, why did we go there, then shut down everything, only to restart after a private company said they were going to Mars? Without reviewing any factual information and just reading patterns, it’s hard for me to say it actually happened. They did it because President Kennedy promised/guaranteed that we would by decade’s end. When it became apparent we couldn’t, the rush was on to create fake footage. Imagine the hit to American credibility — scientifically and militarily at the height of the Cold War — of failing to fulfill a President’s highly touted public promise /guarantee to land men on the moon. In politics, perception is reality. And Apollo was the deepest of deep state politics. |
