DEFENSE of religions is the even bigger and more powerful insanity.

How many times has someone bitched about the EFFECT of all types and degrees of religious extremism, yet defend the CAUSE or basis, foundation? How many secular and self-described sensible people will defend, to their dying breath in fact, ones "freedom" of religion? Religious people with a persecution complex are the biggest sick joke there is. If truly serious and comprehensive (relentless) criticism of religions was allowed in the popular (allegedly "liberal") media, they would be destroyed or at least stripped of all their power AND political influence.
