That started spreading in October 2019. First mention was December because it was a slow spread at first and took awhile for people to notice. Think how fast computer viruses spread...we might not have to wait two months for this one.

This reminds me of the Terminator movies. Wasn't it in part 3 that a virus took over the internet and they launched Skynet to fight it, but Skynet was the behind the cyber attacks. I see a similar pattern here.

It wasn’t like that, skynet is depicted as an AI based national defense system that, being AI, identifies mankind as the main threat to the world and decides it needs being exterminated to achieve peace. The same concept was used for the Avengers Age of Ultron movie.

Hey Pepe, Cabron. You are right but in the first 2 parts, it was never told how Skynet took over. In the 3rd part, they activated Skynet and got it off the leash to take over all military assets when the president ordered it because the country was plagued by a nasty computer virus that had taken over the internet.

Somehow they figured out, that Skynet was the civilian internet virus to give his masters a pretext to unleash it. Unfortunately, they found out too late.

That had crossed my mind.
