So far, I found this article (below) about the woman on the phone with her husband. This article says nothing about the pool. I KNOW the first article I read said she saw the pool sink. Now I'm wondering if the journalist/media had that all wrong. They always get initial reports wrong. Missing woman made phone call to her husband as Surfside condo collapsed [ link to www.local10.com (secure)] .They always adjust"their truth" as they go. In their world the truth is a very fluid thing. (see:NONSENSE)But the pool was still intact and was holding water and is fairly well set back from the building. That allegedly is what her husband reported she said. If accurate, it was the pool deck she saw collapse. The adjacent parking garage also went with it and that is the exact area the 2018 engineer's report warned about.
