I saw the same bright flashes on the security camera footage of the initial collapse.

That is what those who demolish buildings for a living WANT it to look like! They are PURPOSELY creating progressive collapses WITHOUT initial catastrophic failure. That doesn't mean every progressive collapse is cause by demolition.
