Question for the contractors and builders here
I'm retired now for the last few years so I have a question.

Have any of you noticed a trip charge or truck charge kick in with the higher gasoline prices? Back about 9 years ago, my subs started to charge a trip charge or whatever when gas hit $4 a gallon.

If you are a contractor/builder or sub-contractor, what is your trip wire for a surcharge?

Just curious.

Re: Question for the contractors and builders here
I am a welder steel worker, and for the past 2 years, 2 of the companies I deal with are adding a $30.00 delivery charge, where as previously they didn’t.
One company I order from regularly doesn’t, which is good.
