This will make the news soon. Thousands of companies affected.

Google this:

I have inside information that this is way bigger than is being reported.

Please help me understand the magnitude of this event.

Is this a serious SHTF, major disruptions? Something along the lines of the pipeline shut down?

Crticial Ransomware Incident in Progress

We are tracking four 8 MSPs where this has happened and working in close collaboration with two of them. Although all four are running Kaseya VSA, we have not validated that VSA is being exploited (not fair at this time to say "Kaseya has been hacked" without evidence.

Yep. It will be giant news soon. Thousands of companies under ransomware attack.
 Quoting: BoatyMcBoatface

That's quite interesting. I've never been a fan of the 'centralized everything-through-one-pipeline' style that many companies use. When that style goes, it goes down hard.

A thread similar to this will be pinned tomorrow, maybe the next day. I'll just laugh at it. And maybe leave a comment in that thread to link to this one.

What was the attack vector for loading the ransomware?

It's a monitoring and remote access tool used by many companies to monitor and manage their infrastructure, and their customers' infrastructures: Kaseya.
 Quoting: BoatyMcBoatface

NEVER EVER EVER EVER leave "remote access" ON on your computer.

The REvil gang, a major Russian-speaking ransomware syndicate, appears to be behind the attack, said John Hammond of the security firm Huntress Labs.

OP is 100% correct!

It's coming folks.

If you are running the latest upgrade of windows 10 or even the early release of windows 11 you're fine. But you too might be locked down very soon.

This is going to be a fun ride.

I know first hand, that banking, insurance, healthcare, government... All are affected.
 Quoting: BoatyMcBoatface

something big is up......... banking would be catastrophic....... can't get access to your money..... that's one way to stop people in their tracks.......

Ransomware is going on in so many places that don't get published....... at the County level that operates the correctional facilities, jails, courthouses, etc.......... they pay out big time, and keep it on the down low.......... i've seen it first hand......

I work at Arby's and our card reader was acting weird. So was the gas station's.

To be much more specific, it smells and looks like a massive man in the middle attack is running.
