SpaceX Transporter-2 Launch and LZ-1 Landing

They're going to try again this afternoon with a t-zero time of 3:11 pm eastern, 19:11 UT, for the launch of 88 satellites in a commercial rideshare flight with a return of the first stage to LZ-1 at the Cape. Yesterday's attempt was scrubbed about ten seconds before launch by a helicopter that entered the keep-out zone, pissing off Elon Musk. He tweeted that the keep-out zone is unreasonably large and overburdensome if humanity is to become truly spacefaring.

Morons... I wonder how much it cost to scrub yesterday?

Maybe a fine or monetary punishment is in order.

Good to see you Dr. Mutt.

Hearing loud explosions in central east Florida. Is this related to returning boosters? They did not sound like the usual sonic booms we hear.

I've heard this argument for decades so in 2016 I looked up the Federal Budget numbers for the following.

NASA's 2016 total budget ran about $19 billion.

Welfare state programs 2016

Medicaid about $380 billion
Welfare payments about $200 billion
Subsidized housing about $150 billion.
Food stamps about $100 billion.
------------------------------------
There are numerous smaller welfare state programs, but just these 4 Total $830 billion.

What return on investment do we get from the welfare state?
ZERO, NOTHING, just more people looking for handouts.

Since the 1960s, the space program is responsible for

Microprocessors and huge advancements in digital tech.
Communication satellites
Weather satellites
GPS
Microwave ovens

That's just to name a few things.

That was a stupid reason to make an account, but ok. I contribute free and open source software for people to be able to do the same things I do, track satellites, comets, asteroids, etc. What do you contribute? Useless false accusations and bitching. Pathetic.

This is a private launch for other companies paying SpaceX to launch their satellites. So what you're demanding is the confiscation of all private capital and a central decision making body to redistribute that capital. So you're a communist. Communists are not welcome on my threads. Bye bye.
