The other part of the "electric vehicle" craze are the batteries themselves....

The amount of effort to mine the ore/rare earths to manufacture the batteries and then the amount of those materials needed to build the billions of batteries needed for all the vehicles on earth.

Also, these ores are deep in the earth requiring giant excavators and earth movers and trains and ships and other high horsepower vehicles that electric power cannot replace to move them.

Not to mention these components are not found everywheres....

Hilarious. Charge those green electric cars with a generator having no catalytic converter and a generating efficiency not even half that of a commercial power plant. Extra CO2 emissions means it is extra good!

Those Teslas require something like 400 volts DC to charge them I think. So add in a transformer and a rectifier.

Tesla's are great if you like careening out of control at a 130 mph and into an oncoming semi and then have it lock you in and burn you alive.
