Covid has achieved partial vaccine escape in the Delta variant.

This has occurred because we have vaccinated so many people that there is now immense evolutionary pressure for the virus to escape the vaccines. Delta variant is one step in this process.

There's no evolutionary pressure for the virus to escape the vaccine in the unvaccinated, because there's no vaccine generated antibodies to escape.

The virus will continue to evolve further vaccine escape until it is as infectious/deadly in the vaccinated as in the unvaccinated. This will occur rather rapidly -- it is possible we'll have complete vaccine escape within 6 months.

There has been very little benefit from vaccinating the non-vulnerable -- all it has done is sped up vaccine escape by orders of magnitude.

If we'd have only vaccinated the vulnerable we'd have kept the vaccine escape to a minimum. By vaccinating so many we'll once again put our vulnerable at great risk this coming winter.
