The ironic thing is that I had just sent a pre-written email to my state legislature and governor created by the John Birch Society about defunding public schools due to their promotion of marxist ideology not even 10 minutes before I read this article! Here's the link for anyone who's interested in doing it for their states! DEFUND PUBLIC SCHOOLS "Public schools in the United States are beyond repair. Nearly every day, we read yet another story about how public schools are indoctrinating our children with Marxist ideology. Among other examples, schools are promoting sexually explicit content to students, mandating “LGBT” indoctrination, teaching Marxist critical race theory, turning students against Christianity while promoting Islam, using Common Core, and promoting the COVID vaccine." The Kansas Board of Education really is trying to hard to push their authority! Yes, critical race theory may be one of the issues among others for the reasons. Quoting: TrustNoOneKS State school board may sue the Legislature to protect its authority "The Kansas State Board of Education intends to put lawmakers on notice that its members wield constitutional authority. Calling themselves a 'fourth branch' and 'equal partners,' board members discussed ways to protect their authority from legislative fiat under the Kansas Constitution. Members stopped short of threatening the legislature with a lawsuit. However, members did not rule out going to court in the future if lawmakers attempt to usurp the board’s authority. . . . State board chair Jim Porter, a Fredonia Republican, suggested he’s willing to ask the question. He told the board he was prepared to defy the Legislature if the civics test graduation requirement became law. Though Kelly vetoed requiring the test for graduation and requiring a financial literacy course for Kansas high school students, lawmakers are likely to revive both issues next session. They’ll also likely consider bans on curriculum like critical race theory, which teaches students that our nation was founded on white supremacy and remains a racist nation." In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |
