Hello. My name is Aven, also known as the Green Witch. I've been on GLP for awhile now but I've rarely posted.

I'm starting a Witch/Pagan/Wiccan thread so those of us who practice the Craft can have a place to hang out and discuss topics relevant to us. I feel like this place needs a counterbalance to the Christian posts which now seem to dominate.

This isn't a pagan exclusive thread. We welcome all who wish to participate, With respect, I ask that there be no personal attacks, no trying to convert us to your faith, and no preaching about condemning us to eternal hellfire.

GLP has many neopagans, wiccans, witches and other non Christian folk who I feel have been sidelined. I'd like to have a place where we can talk, discuss and have fun without all the hate and bitterness.

To all the Christians. You are most welcome here but I would ask you to be tolerant of other's faiths and beliefs as you would have us be of yours.

I want this to be an open, friendly place with no bashing of faiths. That goes for bashing the Christian faith as well.

Now with that out of the way, witches, lets ride!
 Quoting: Green Witch

All forms of "magic", whatever you decide to call yourself, (a witch, magician, wizard, whatever), are enabled via the effective usage of your indigo-ray vibratory center located in your forehead which is also called the third eye or chakra.

This is used in conjunction with one's ability to co-ordinate with and request useful assistance from the various millions of entities which inhabit this planet's astral planes.

You could use your third eye to literally levitate on a broomstick and fly through the air if that was your fancy.

The indigo is extraordinarily difficult to open and use effectively. It requires a total balance of all the other energy centers. This requires dedication, self-sacrifice and the ability to both know and love the self, as well as give and receive love to others.

Very few humans possess the ability to do it, which is why most will never believe in or understand that workings of a magical nature are possible. But every single one of them *could* use it if they learned how to do it and made that commitment to opening their third eye.

YOU I definitely want to hang around on this thread
 Quoting: Green Witch

Thank you. Unfortunately I learned as quickly as I did for two reasons:

1. I was born with a natural ability to open and use the indigo right out of the gate.

2. I was targeted by a gang of black magic using self-serving occultists. Their intention was to ruin my life and try to goad me into committing suicide.

The only reason I even survived this long is thanks to my abilities.

But all of us who are born with this ability ultimately come to know of it through some form of catalyst, so in a way it was a blessing in disguise.

The one who was once known as Christ also came to realize his abilities through a traumatic experience. When he was a young boy, he was playing one day and became angry with a playmate. Jesus touched this entity and the other child was instantly killed. It was at this moment that he became aware that there dwelt in him a terrible power.

After this incident, he resolved that he would find the truth about himself and atone for what he had done.

At the end of his incarnation, Jesus was absolved of the karma related to this action when on the cross he spoke the words, "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do." For it is forgiveness that stops the wheel of karma from turning forever and ever.

Jesus was born with it, and just look at the impact he had on world history. Unfortunately his teachings were taken out of context and used as a control mechanism. This was not intended, but on the flip side there are still many who have benefited from his message of universal and unconditional love - which was his mission.

I have a tremendous respect for those who have followed this path without being born with the ability to use such powers on day one, as they have a far harder time due to the amount of dedication that is required.

Yes, we've all heard of it. New Testament literature and languages was my undergrad major.

I know all your Elaine Pagels trash talking points you picked up in Teen Vogue or something retard rag.

It's all new to you and since you are so ignorant that these spurious texts have been fully know by us and proven to be forgeries for centuries now, you think you've stumbles on some sort of novel wisdom, because you're the definition of a pseudo-intellectual brainwashed by the programmed pop trash you read. I guess I need to lay down some ground rules. Again. This thread is meant to be a friendly, open place where Witches, pagans, wiccans and other oddballs can hang out and talk and discuss without fear of getting abused.

This thread is open to all. But I absolutely will not tolerate any abuse, disrespect, name calling, trashing other people's beliefs or just generally being an ass to people. This goes for people trashing the Christian faith as well. I'm not playing that game.

You can debate and argue without being a prick. It's called being an adult.

Break the rules and you'll find out just how much of a Bitch I can be.

What are your thoughts about people who suffer because someone does a careless spell? I had some neighbors that were using WC and had moved in in direct competition with my business. My shop was broken into 3 times in less than a year. Yes, no doubt that I could have taken more precaution against the thieves, but I think that their prosperity spells had inadvertently caused harm to their competition.

I'm at peace with it all... but not all people remember the "and harm none." It should be more than an afterthought.

Hello

I happen to be a warlock. .. somewhat...

I've been here for millions of years, going from one body to the next, witnessing all kinds of things.

I also happen to be well known in Sumerian lore. It's hilarious.

.... I am not creating a fantasy. This is real.

I love herbalists. I am a herbalist myself. I love flowers and to this day, I still do not know why.

As a gift to you, in these horrible times....

"If you take an orange and mix it with an artichoke (Artichoke is the best out of all of them, by the way), you will come up with a way to defeat today's disease"

Thank you, Aven for sharing your insight. I am very fond of those who are not slaved into the system.

If I had taken magical recourse against the source of magic (if it were in fact a magical circumstance), I would have been in effect attacking someone who was innocent of intention, but guilty through carelessness... then what if they had taken action against any magical attacks?....

Magic can create hazardous echo chambers... even the fear of another's magic and initiate such situations. Magic is wonderful, but often dangerous in more ways than people consider.

Spellwork. I take spellcraft very seriously. Even something as simple as a candle spell if done carelessly can cause harm. Love spells are another. I've seen love spells backfire tremendously. And the damage done by a careless spell can be almost impossible to undo.

Being a witch requires us to be more mindful of the consequences of our actions. You can never see the full results of a spell because it continues on.

Let me give you an example. Say you are late for work one morning. You get stopped at a traffic light and you do a little intention to turn the light green faster. It works. You get to work on time. No harm no foul right?

The very next day, a minivan has a head on collision and kills 8 people because you caused the light to malfunction the day before. You are responsible.

See how it works?

Oh my gosh.... I wish I had the will to write out this whole (other) escapade...
I had a guy that was becoming a woman had a crush on me and had not taken her hormones and was on a tip of fury.. His family was an actual legacy black magic family... oh man. If a 9 year old tried to beat you up, your main concern would be that you didn't hurt them, but after a while, you might want to drop the hammer... that whole thing went on for several years, and there was actual black magic involved... nothing too heavy, but it was a hassle, to say the least. Often magicy people are paranoid against other people's magic, and create problems through their countering potential, but imaginary adversaries.

well... thankfully I am not responsible for their deaths... however... there is a line. I would say that person is not responsible. I felt responsible once for a person's car accident... I was responsible for that. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt. We create magic any time we charge our thoughts with emotion. The more a person learns the more they are (imo) obligated to be their brother's keeper, so to speak.

See how it works?

well... thankfully I am not responsible for their deaths... however... there is a line.

Once people get it into their heads that we're all connected, and that when one harms another intentionally or even unintentionally, they harm themselves, the more mindful we will be of our actions.

We believe God is immanent in nature, yes.

As a witch, what would define magic as and how is it in agreement with Gods will? This also requires you to explain what God is in your system.

We view God, or the Divine, as creative force. The first prime mover, if you will. At least that is how I define God. No two witches define Deity the same.

Magic is the creative force within us that we have, by virtue of being part of that Divine energy. We have the same creative engine that the Divine has.

Re: The Witch's Corner
What are your thoughts about people who suffer because someone does a careless spell? I had some neighbors that were using WC and had moved in in direct competition with my business. My shop was broken into 3 times in less than a year. Yes, no doubt that I could have taken more precaution against the thieves, but I think that their prosperity spells had inadvertently caused harm to their competition.

I'm at peace with it all... but not all people remember the "and harm none." It should be more than an afterthought.

Yep.. thankfully we learn. The universe is designed as a school of sorts. Mistakes are relative... if learning is involved. May people exploring their creative potential learn wonderful lessons... w/o harming others in the process.. ;)

You ducked the question, well the most important part of it, if magic is the creative force we all share and used by or free choice, is it your will or Gods will that gets done when something happens through your magic, who allows it to happen? If God is agaisnt it but your will is done anyways did he allow it or did you overcome what he set in motion in the first place. How do you reconcile your intereference and what price do you pay for it, who decides the cost you or God

Hey guys! Remember what I said about breaking my rules and seeing how much of a bitch I can be?

See the lil gold star by my name?

I'll wait so you can look at it for a bit
