Thoughts on fasting? Open to all to answer of course.

Highly beneficial, at minimum as a detox.
Other benefits may include having the digestive system in an idle state and altered energy levels assisting in reaching altered states of consciousness. I've always thought religions or groups that do this on or around holidays are on to something.
Seems a bit odd other groups feast and gorge themselves on many things during holidays.
Two sides of the coin I suppose.
That said, there are also groups that have very specific foods on holidays that align with the holiday and energies associated.

Agree and spiritually needed for cleansing. I feel highest vibration and in tune when fasting. I can only go 7 days so far . Thank you for your reply.

I don’t follow any fasting in scripture except for Passover. I don’t eat bread . I feel it’s much more symbolic of sin not the actual bread. Shadows and stuff. Fasting is beneficial for anyone for a way to reset the human body. It can bring down inflammation, and bring clarity. I would do it monthly for a week if I had the will power. I want that.

fasting teaches discipline can be used before doing works to prove dedication. physically fasting will slow down cell division thus slowing ageing .
