Bill Gates has been investing aggressively in the agricultural sector of the United States by acquiring sizeable farmlands in at least 19 states.

He has been diversifying his portfolio and business interests for the past couple of decades. But Recent reports suggest that his interests have been narrowed down to the Agricultural sector.

The Tech billionaire has steadily invested in Agriculture on a global scale.

Currently Bill Gates has amassed a total of 268,984 Acres of land scattered around 19 states so far of which 242,000 is farmland, 25750 is transitional and 1234 is recreational. His largest holdings located in Louisiana, Arkansas and Nebraska.

Being one of the few household names out there, a status made possible by his lengthy stay at the number one spot on Forbes list of the richest people on the planet, also his strong ties and influence in the computer industry and tech world as a whole, many fear monopoly is on the cards.

For a sector as important as the agricultural sector, a monopoly could spell disaster.
Many believe that having one individual controlling the food supply and production chain of a nation as large as the United States is too much power.
