How much do you want to bet that I see the solar array they are installing today the next time I track it? Last Edited by Astromut on 06/16/2021 07:31 AM |

Is that the new section they will be attaching? I just heard them say they are depressurizing the module they are in, so I would guess they will be suiting up and going for a walk soon. Will be cool to watch, thanks for posting. I'll watch the old videos while waiting on them to suit up |

They're getting ready to hoping the hatch. There's an additional thermal cover which looks like a floppy piece of fabric covering the hatch and that's the last thing they'll emerge from as they come out. In fact I could just see the thermal cover moving away from the hatch a little bit when they opened it, the last of the air in the airlock pushed on it. |

(OP) Senior Forum Moderator 06/16/2021 08:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NASA has finally improved their CGI ... with all the billions of tax dollars at their disposal. Or maybe prior CGI was bad on purpose because of the Musk principle: you know it must be real because it looks so fake. Quoting: Malleus It's not CGI. After the first LZ-1 landing was conducted at night, a conspiracy theorist thought they would be clever by asking why they always land them at night. Musk replied that it was easier to fake it with CGI that way. He loves trolling conspiracy idiots. But yeah if they wanted to fake it, the result would probably look more like what people expect it to look like, instead of the unexpected surreal nature of the video from the Falcon heavy demo launch. In space, there's no haze between the dummy payload and the Earth beyond it, none of the distance cues we subconsciously look for because we experience them all the time here on Earth. |

User ID: 35285706 United Kingdom 06/16/2021 09:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thomas Pesquet and Shane Kimbrough are getting ready to conduct a spacewalk to install the first of the new iROSA solar arrays to supplement power to the space station. Two of these roll out solar arrays were launched on the current SpaceX cargo dragon docked to the space station and they will slot in front of the existing arrays but generate more power than the part of the arrays that they block. This will also visibly change the appearance of the space station in telescopes. Although the shuttle stopped flying in 2011, 10 years later additional construction of the space station is still continuing as new parts are built and launched. I hear space deniers say all the time that there is no footage of the international Space station under construction. Well that's completely false, there's a ton of footage from the many missions that initially assembled it, but even today here we have live footage of new parts being installed on the space station. Parts that will be visible even from the ground. It most definitely is fake, normie. So because you claim you saw something under construction, that means it's really up there 250-300 miles above the Earth, travelling at 17,500 mph? I could show you "proof" that I'm building my own 747, doesn't mean it's actually real. They are not doing "space walks" at those speeds. Have you really captured the "ISS" or have you captured something else they they're claiming is the ISS? Discernment; you clearly lack it. Chocobo |

Just pointing out the fakery in the various "footage" he includes in his music video, eg bubbles in "space", harnesses and various fake astronaut fails. If you want to do some real science how about demonstrating curvature on standing bodies of water, or opposing gas pressure systems adjacent to one another without solid separation? Both preposterous and absurd propositions of course. Natural science, having to do with the tangible substances of the world (water, air) will always trump theoretical science having to do with intangibles (the luminaries) and imagery on the tv. Aforementioned theoretical globe/space "science" and the associated imagery provided, directly contradicts actual reality and therefor belongs in an appropriate receptacle (ie a dumpster) |
