Emergency Landing: Delta Employee Threatened to ‘Take Down’ Los Angeles to Atlanta Flight

I went to a small bakery last week and the lady behind the counter said "Thank you for waiting" because there had been someone else in front of me. She looked at my daughter and said "Thank you for waiting too" and she offered her a free Danish. After I paid her she said "Thanks again." I said "No problem" She said " I just don't want anyone getting mad, it doesn't take much these days." So, even at bakeries people are freaking out I guess.

I thought all cabin crew were supposed to have extensive training on emergency procedures. Part of which would have been an understanding that there is no way in hell that door is going to open at altitude on a pressurized cabin.

The only way someone that stupid could get that job would be because of the color of his skin. No white person that colossally stupid would be given that job.

I would also question the Pilot's judgement in asking all able bodied men to come to the front of the plane for an emergency.

That creates a risk of throwing the aircraft dangerously out of trim if enough weight of people move far enough.

It also creates a risk of passengers simply trampling someone that falls.

Creating these real risks, when the actual bad guy is presenting no credible risk unless he is wired with a bomb or something, is a bad move.

Lastly, I would renew my suggestion that every center seatback should have a loaded 9mm pistol in it, in a little lock box, opened by a magnetic card that American citizens can qualify for by taking a short course on proficiency and safe use of a firearm aboard a plane. The 2nd Amendment is the greatest tool for public safety yet invented, and the right of self defense is an inalienable right. TSA screening should also go back to allowing people to carry normal pocket knives. I carried one for years until 9-11 came along and nobody ever minded.

BLM supporter. wanted to take down an airplane. this is terrorist activity. I am happy that the men on the flight took care of the problem when the captain called.

His post on Facebook was from May 27th....two weeks prior to the flight incident. Also, the plane where the incident took place has 191 seats. I'm still not sure what you mean.

Self-proclaimed “rapper” and “black lives” advocate tried to hijack his own company’s plane. The “black lives” part wasn’t reported in ANY of the mainstream media reports I read, just in this one.
Imagine if he’d posted about “uplifting white lives” — it would’ve been noted very prominently in virtually ALL media reports.
