Crazy vertigo for the last two days... Fucking SUCKS!
It's definitely an inner ear issue but, boy I tell you... It's fucking horrible!

I feel like I just got off a surf training in a 47 footer. (For those of you who have the honor of rolling around in 16 ft breakers while strapped to a metal seat.)

Tried the exercises, tried meclizine, tried lying still....

Tonight I'm drinking whiskey.

Let's see if I fall through the coffee table. Lol

Wish me luck!

Whiskey
One of these days... A *REAL* rain is gonna come and wash all this scum off the streets.

Hey, been there a couple of times. Here’s what’s going on and what to do.
The crystals in youre inner ear are out of balance, hence, vertigo. Lay on your back on the bed. Have your read off the side of the bed hanging down. Turn your head all the way to the side and hold for ten seconds. Bring your head to the middle and hold for 10. Move you’re head to the opposite side for 10. Repeat a few times. Good luck to you.

Thank you buddy!!! I just tried that earlier today.

Seemed to help a bit at first but now, I'm back where I started.

Good info though.

Exactly what I'm practicing now.

This advice is close, but no cigar.

I suffer from vertigo and live with this crap. Have had it so bad I can't stand without falling over and vomiting.

It is most likely BPPV, which yes, is crystals in the ears getting lodged in wrong place. They need to be repositioned.

The technique you need to google is called the epley maneuver. Before you do it though you need to know which ear is affected. There is a test for that also on YouTube. Requires a helper to look at your eyes while you lie back. Only then can you do the epley properly because you have the correct ear.

It can take days, weeks or months to get normal, even with epley. Once it took me almost eight months to be completely normal after a bppc attack. Other times it is a few days.

My doc once prescribed valium in case I have an attAck. I never took it but he said it will make it tolerable.

Good luck...it's a nightmare to have vertigo. It plagues me.

Also look up menieres disease. See which fits your symptoms better. But if it is sudden onset, I'm guessing bppv.

I use lots of bonghit and 50 mg of meclizine a day. I was using 200 mg a day and feeling good but the doc said that amount daily could damage my innards.

For me it is chronic and changes with the weather, fast moving barometer and high humidity. I did have Lyme and do get migraines so that does not help.

I can't see the booze helping?

Indeed the Epply maneuver is what I saw earlier and makes sense.

(Definitely sudden onset.) My ears are FUBAR. (Too much punk-rock in the early 80's, followed by helicopters, Diesel engines and copious amounts of gunfire in the late 80's through the next 16-20 years)

Thank you for your post sir! I suffer from it from time to time.

This one has me looping in the bed. Lol.

Allergies, hopefully, I had it today also.

Use some flonase spray and zyrtec. The drainage from the allergies is causing some fluid buildup in your ear.

I actually went to the E.R. a few years back when I had
this "crystal imbalance" of the inner ear--thought I was
having a stroke.

However, I'll clue you in on something I have been watching
for (thread link below) because I have ALSO had pretty
wild dizzy spells and unusual imbalance the past week or
more. I'm putting THIS EPISODE not to the credit of my
inner ear but due to SPACE WEATHER. This has been kept on
the "down low" so as not to panic people, but Earth and
sun took a HUGE HIT on June 3rd from a very rare magnetar
"event" you can read about on this link:
Thread: 1 Week "Earth-WATCH" Following a Massive Gamma Ray Burst revealing "Monster" Magnatar event.

A similar magnatar event hit Earth/sun in 2004 and caused
the Sumatra great quake and tsunami which killed 1/2 million
souls around the Pacific rim. Luckily, this June 3rd event
was much smaller--but in terms of magnatar eruptions, no
magnatar is a good thing. I've been watching for spin-off
events (in addition to the usual space weather fall out
from the chart below==this would be a LEVEL 9 physical effect.) Mainly, earthquakes, volcanos and wild weather
but nothing as major as the Sumatra event (thank goodness.)

:CosmicRAhealth:

Hope this info gives you some comfort. It may be as
simple as "spaceweather."

cheers
