And now the next hack will be far worse because the cybercriminals who perpetrated it will see it as a challenge and want revenge.

Re: "Uncrackable" bitcoin found - Ransomware partially recovered
Pirate Chain is completely anonymous, untrackable and untraceable

Each transaction is completely invisible

It's more anonymous than Monero!

It's the future of cryptocurrency

Anonymous "Atomic Swaps" are slated to be available in under a month

This will completely change cryptocurrency
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77861588

PirateChain has a potentially better tech than Monero but much smaller anon set. I believe Monero still has the best privacy until PirateChain or another coin gets greater adoption and anon tx count.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79365663

That's why the implementation of Atomic Swaps and inclusion on larger exchanges is so exciting for Pirate Chain

Re: "Uncrackable" bitcoin found - Ransomware partially recovered
im sure both sides will forever be adapting over this, isnt the original bitcoin, bitcoin cash now. Bitcoin is traceable AF that was never the argument if anything its easier to track than cash. Its getting the person paper wallet password or their private seed to get around their hardware wallet thats the issue and honestly not possible. The is a set up to take a shot at bitcoin maximalists who are cult like in nature somewhat and can be offputting. I own bitcoin and its offline and secured i dont think they could get mine but im not exactly sure either way and i didnt buy it in the last four years way before and i just keep it. Im not a guy out there telling people its going to kill the dollar or gold or anything. Actually i own all those things and i have a savings account. Im far from rich but i invest a piece of every check the most that i can which isnt much and never was. I did sell some ethereum i paid forty cents for based on a post i read on this forum a long time ago when it hit 4300 so i expect uncle sam to crawl in my butthole this year. Will make a post to let people know how badly the microscope hurt lol.

The hackers should of asked for random serial number unmarked small bills with no dye pack and had Colonial drop it into a false bottom garbage can in Newark...that or ask for Walmart gift cards

I thought bitcoin was untraceable and unhackable?? Now the gov can just go and steal it back?

epiclol
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80036614

Nobody claims it is untraceable. It's quite the contrary.

And it cannot hacked, never has been. Either the hackers were so stupid they deposited their coins on an exchange or similar centralized service, or the "hack" of the pipeline was the FBI all alone and they just "recovered" their own coins.

You need to inform yourself on how cryptocurrencies work because you just look stupid commenting on something you clearly lack knowledge of.

Complete nonsense

All sophisticated hackers would demand payment in Monero which is untraceable

How could the hackers be smart enough to carry out an attack but stupid enough to lose their cryptocurrency?

This is obviously an inside job, as these kind of attacks were predicted by the World Economic Forum over the last year and the hackers conveniently always attack things which the organisers of the Great Reset don't like - the oil industry, and beef production

I'm of the same ilk- I believe in paying taxes- but only if those tax dollars are spent wisely

That hasn't been the case, at least federally, for a long long time

No just 25 years to life for any American trading, receiving, or assisting in the transfer of counterfeit digital currency; once the fed coin is out. No need to interrupt anything meaningful just jail a few ISPs and network supervisors for not enforcing the firewall.

Private networks will pop up... and they will be hunted with the same fury the Middle East got when the petro dollar was challenged. No alternative the big guy needs 10 percent.

So Bitcoin isn't so safe and uncrackable, huh.

If the government was able to hack the hackers wallet they can surely track Bitcoin and confiscate at will.

Plus all you need to do is jail isp and network professionals assisting in the transfer and it ends like that. No need for elaborate hacking etc. 25 years for allowing it on your network.

Whoever said it's "untraceable?"

You no coin tards don't even know what you're talking about.

ALL transactions are on the blockchain, that's the point of the thing.

Stinks like a psyop...

First off the Colonial pipeline has manual overrides all over. I called BS on the shortage day one. That was just the way they got everyone’s attention
Utter bullshit they had an all stop that anyone would’ve felt

Next the crypto part.

Crypto is another currency challenging the $ and can’t imagine other nations liked it either. So of course crypto is used and they knew where to find it as it was theirs or they just bs’ed about the payoff altogether so they could erode confidence in it

Bottom line it was a control playshark

Maybe I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I’m hovering right above the target here

BTC 200 week moving average is nothing but up.

Gold is forever flat, meaning it does not adjust for inflation. Same as holding cash only more annoying.
