The Rapture - This is not the time to let down your guard.

According to Mark Chapter 13, Jesus said it is also after, the Abomination of Desolation occurs, (verse 14). For the Rapture is referenced in verse 27 of that chapter.

The abomination of desolation is referenced here, in Mark 13:23, as "that tribulation":
23So be on your guard; I have told you everything in advance. 24But in those days, after that tribulation: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’…
26At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27And He will send out the angels to gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
Which parallels 1Thess 4:15-17 and coincides with Rev Ch 7, the church is raptured right after the 144,000 of Israel, are sealed.
Which means the Trumpet events in Rev. Ch 6 must come first before the Rapture also.

So what must happen first?
1) The Abomination of Desolation, which requires a rebuilt temple.
Along with that: it requires a siege of Jerusalem by the AC's armies, a 7 yr treaty signed, Breaking the treaty and capturing Jerusalem (in order to put up the Abomination of desolation in a rebuilt temple).

2) These "signs":
The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’
3) The Events of Rev Ch 6.(especially verse 12-14, correlating to Mark 13, verse 23)

Without those events and those "signs" occurring, then we are not in the time period for the Rapture.

Why so many refuse to see this, when it is so plain, I do not know.
Spiritually Blinded, I guess.

Your comparing apples and oranges. And you are also ignoring the things that are happening in the world. Besides which we are quite clearly told that the Rapture will catch everybody by surprise. People who think that such and such has to happen so that they can carry on with their sinful life are in for a rude awakening.

I think it's soon and in season like you said, but AC is correct. Those things have to happen. You can't just ignore scripture, because you want to wake Christians up. Wrong, the Bible says that the Lord will come like a thief in the night, so you're just fooling yourself when you, and those who think like you, say that such and such has to happen first. Many lukewarm Christians who want to have their cake and eat it choose to believe these false arguments, because they think that they can carry on sinning for a while longer and still be Raptured.
