Florida couple wakes up to massive alligator on lanai

I used to live on a Florida lake and we had one come to our front door... it was very scary - They taped the mouth with grey thick tape and took it off to be let go in the wild somewhere.

my least favorite thing about florida -- reptiles.

I had a snake in my Florida room once that was fun…. I just about went through the screen getting out and my neighbor laughed at me said it’s just a racer (Florida Racer - it’s a non venomous harmless snake) but they get their name because they haul ass and have a tendency to lunge at you. I’m like ah hell no. He went in and got it out.
