What you are seeing in not a rogue planet hugging the sun, but a mirage. Even with high powered filters, xray, uv, and a multitude of others this is nothing but a mirage of the sun. Our star, a basic medium sized star at that, is so unimaginably energetic that its creates mirages like this all the time. Hell, I am old enough to remember posts in the 1980's about a 'strange object' hugging the sun looking exactly like this. I do enjoy these types of threads but unfortunately (or fortunately) you are only seeing a optical trick from out beautiful star. There is no rogue planet that close to the sun. Not in the 1980's when I first read about it and certainly not now. |
