You think that a rocket rising into sunlight and having its exhaust illuminated is proof it's hitting something? Wrong. It's proof that the rocket is reaching line of sight to the sun at altitude because of Earth's curvature. You can even see the first stage fall back into Earth's shadow during the entry burn in my video of the Crew 2 launch.

And yes, they made it to the space station.
