Quoting: Justme C'est Moi Amazing fliers, can almost see the entire sphere around them, and constantly munching on mosquitoes. They fly up close to me all the time, looking for a tasty mosquito. My friends. :) Stained glass art, that can fly 60 mph, or accelerate in almost any direction at amazing speed. Dragonflies are Proof of God.. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70950062 United States 05/29/2021 03:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why do they move their wings back and fourth while they're resting? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78923177 You'd think they'd not want to draw attention do themselves when they're resting and vulnerable to any ground-based predator. you know what, i don't know? but i did spend an entire cigarette in my backyard thinking about your question. some ideas that came to mind: 1.) they are keeping their wing muscles active/online so they can burst speed/fly at a moments notice. 2.) some of them have eye-like features on their wings, the slow flutter could make it look like a larger predator is scanning the area, keeping butterfly predators away. 3.) their wings are connected to their heart chakra, and they are just so fucking joyful they cannot help by move their wings a little bit even if it could be dangerous. 4.) some DNA programmer forgot to add that self preservation sequence into the 4D code. 5.) they already survived being an egg, caterpillar, helpless cocoon.. so they're flexing, bro! but really, i don't know! Lol, well-I was asking myself the EXACT SAME QUESTION as I watched the video. Then seeing that person ask as I scrolled down in the comments-this is what immediately came to mind: have you ever eaten a food that is SO utterly delicious, that some people akin it to a great orgasm. Filet mignon cooked SO well, that it seems to melt in your mouth, that freshly baked 3 layer tiramisu, the chocolate souffle that falls apart in itself, etc, etc lol. So I really think it's a muscle that they contract, to EXTRACT the goodness inside that little flower tube thingie they suck out of, that they enjoy so much. Lol, not relating it exactly to the "analogy" that I used, by any means lol-other than it being the enjoyment taste-wise and their body structure to achieve the feat of which they do. ? Maybe? |

It's when my human heart/soul opened up for the first time and I understood who I really was. It's been amazing path I have been on since then. All you need is love! Love is all you need.
