butterflies are four dimensional creatures

they start out as an egg
then a caterpillar

do you think the caterpillar
constrained to the earth, munching on leaves
dreams of flying?

then one day, the caterpillar spins a cocoon
and goes into stasis for a time
and times
and half a time

finally emerging as a winged creature of the air!
drinking sweet nectar instead of bitter leaves

how about you..
do you dream of flying?

At least something is still alive to pollinate the crops and flowers. :)

Until they come out with africanized killer butterflies.
Then we are in trouble.

I saw this moth by the lake. The colors are not enhanced. Earlier in the day I saw ten species of blue butterflies. I said to God, "How about something purple?"

I was enjoying a chocolate mushroom at the end of the day, so I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was real. Every time it closed its wings, I was sure I was hallucinating. Nope! I didn't share to IG until the morning, just to be sure!

Why do they move their wings back and fourth while they're resting?

You'd think they'd not want to draw attention do themselves when they're resting and vulnerable to any ground-based predator.
