You can’t get an MRI just by asking. You’d have to lie about having certain neurological symptoms like those of MS, which is immoral.
Maybe it’s different in America, but in Canada, MRI’s are always heavily booked ahead, and lying to get one prevents people who really need to from getting it. Not good.

CAT scan is fine for most broken bones anyway. I had no problem getting MRI appointments same day or same week using the company provided health insurance as part of my compensation package. You get what you work/pay for.
