When Will The Rapture Be? | |

Just before the Lord returns to destroy the AntiChrist, He will come as a 'thief in the night' for His sheep that remain. So based on what you are writing, we will know when Jesus is returning - it will be at the end of the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation - the survivors of God's Wrath will have a general idea that the worst is over and Jesus is on His way - am I correct? So, what did Jesus mean here?: "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man” Luke 21:34-36 (what a strange thing to tell the survivors of the Tribulation.) "Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" Matt 24:44 (Maybe Jesus should have been more specific and said to those who survive the wrath - he'll return at an hour they don't expect, instead of telling all of us?) "Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world to try them that dwell upon the earth." Rev 3:10 (To the survivors of the Tribulation, how comforting are these words?) Why would Paul tell this to the people that were alive with him, if Jesus' return wasn't to be until after the Tribulation? Maybe Paul should have said "while we wait for martyrdom"?: "while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ" Titus 2:13 What does this mean?: "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," 1 Thess. 5:9 Many strong Christians will be beheaded in arenas for failing to bow and worship the image of the Beast or to take his mark. If all "good" Christians were raptured, there would be nobody left to show the lost their faith, to show them the fearlessness of death that real Christians develop. Jesus comes first as a thief, then as a Conquering King, both appearances are at the end of the Tribulation. Two people can be walking down the sidewalk, one is killed by a 60 pound hail stone, the other is not. Many will survive the Tribulation period. Those with the mark suffer the terrible sores, those without, do not. They will be examples for the lost to see how faith in the Lord can protect you. Hated, they will be persecuted same as the martyrs in the Roman empire. I've studied the question and this is my opinion. Read and study and think what you want. I'm not here to correct anyone. The question was asked and I gave my answer. Your problem is your bad eschatology. You seem have no clue that Revelation is about God's promise to Israel - the Church is not Israel, the Church is the Bride. The people who will be beheaded are those who were not Raptured (Catholics will not be Raptured - Revelation 2:22 - and IMO, ONLY those waiting for Him will be Raptured - Hebrews 9:28, these are those with "the oil" Matt. 25:1-15), those left behind which include Israel - the Jwish people, who come to realize that Jesus is the Messiah after the Rapture and because of the ministry of the 144,000 and the Two Witnesses (their ministry will be desperately needed because the Church will be GONE). "The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life... He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." Revelation 22:17-20  |
