In those articles they all failed to mention it covered a handful of 'farms' that were all over 48 square miles in size, land above that size was the land in the 'headline'. Since there is no bill of sale from 1650 the land is 'occupied' so any revenue gained belongs to the people. The original ones all died and the whites then brought in their own slaves to work the land for them.
