I know they work for some people but not me. The inflammation never went away for five years and it very slightly made that tooth always protrude, causing constant extra pressure. I finally could not stand the pain anymore and had a it pulled. Huge relief. Should have listened to Wayne Green who always warned against them (back on Art Bell, in the 90s). If I'm ever faced with that situation again and it's a critical tooth, I'll opt for an implant. In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80351937 United States 05/14/2021 08:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I took my kid to the dentist today and the dentist said she needed a root canal. I said nope, I don't believe in root canals and i wanted him to just pull it. He said out of good conscious he would not. Then a dental assistant passed by the door and asked the dentist if everything was okay and asked if he needed someone in the room with him. We were just talking so that was weird. Then the dentist left and said someone would be in to bring me referral papers. Quoting: Stella Wayten I hadnt raised my voice or anything. Then a dental assistant walks in and lays a professional walkie talkie looking think down on the counter. About five minutes go by then someone walks in with a piece of paper and says... So you are refusing to get the root canal because you don't believe in them and then paused and looked at me. I said in a very low voice "and"... She then looked down at the papers and said so we are referring you to so and so. She handed me the papers and I walked out the door. Why in the world did they set that walkie talkie down. I assume it was to record me and that the lady giving me the papers was trying to get me to admit to something. That's why I just said "and". Oh, and I can't find a dentist that will just pull her tooth. Because your daughter isn't old enough to make her own decision and if you pull her tooth you might traumatize her for life. So they are probably turning you over to childrens services. That is how these bitches are nowadays. My dentist drilled, filled and fucked with every tooth he could and a partial and when he couldn't possibly do anything else he dismisses me from his practice for missing an appointment I never had. TOTAL ASSHOLES! |

I have a few, the oldest ones have lasted 20 plus years. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80359900 Was wondering that myself. I had a root canal a long time ago as well and no problems. Hell, my dentist LOVES pulling teeth. Go in for anything and his first suggestion is to just pull it. I have several old root canals, no problems. My last infected molar, dentist referred me to oral surgeon to have it pulled and then would do an implant. I did some research and referred myself to an endodontist and had a most pleasant root canal that has caused me no problems. Can’t imagine the hassle of an implant, never had one. |

A few dabs a day and the tooth/gum area may improve! Good luck. Quoting: Let Freedom Ring 365 Yes, pure essential oil of clove for teeth problems is amazing! Numbs pain and kills germs. Have you ever known a dentist to use it? The one I found does. I was pleasantly surprised. It was some kind of clove paste that hardened. |

When a dentist, someone who knows more about teeth and treatment of teeth more than you ever will, gives an opinion that a procedure should be done, and then you decline, then the DDS has to CYA. That is what they did. What you did is fine, too. But if you attempt to go back to the DDS and sue him because of the excruciating pain that your inaction is likely to cause, then you will have no position in court. You are negligent, not the DDS. I have never met a DDS who actively seeks to send info to CPS without a warrant. So that is not likely the reason, the DDS is merely covering his ass. |

Root canals imo are garbage so you made the right call. Quoting: My Foolish Daydream They all want to do root canals. I've called around. I can't find anyone to just pull it. With a root canal, they get to charge you for the root canal, a crown and then to pull it later, plus the cancer treatments you'll need. User ID: 80129766 United States 05/15/2021 07:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How old is she? It's a liability issue for the dentist. I had to see an endodontist to get two root canals done as my regular dentist didn't do them However, the reason they won't just pull a tooth is that the other teeth will move around and cause unsightly gaps and other issues later on. I don't know ANY dentist that will just pull a tooth especially on a child when their mouth is still growing and permanent teeth are coming in. What they wanted to do was call Child Protecton on you and say that you’re taking irrational decisions for your child that are the equivalent of abuse. It’s happening more and more where a parent decides not to do a root canal or not vaccinate a child and it results in child welfare taking them away. At this point, I keep my children away from any and all medical professionals unless I have a very good relationship with them. There’s a website about that: [link to healthimpactnews.com (secure)] It’s called medical kidnapping. They use any excuse to abduct people’s kids. It’s sick! |

I have a few, the oldest ones have lasted 20 plus years. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80359900 Watch THE ROOT CAUSE. I have a friend who had a root canal a little over a year ago. She's about 35. Anyway, she ended up having to go to the emergency room with massive infection, then to an oral surgeon specialist to drill into her jawbone under total anesthesia to fix what the first dentist had screwed up. She has been in the hospital several times since then and even ended up with pneumonia. She barely leaves her home she is so fragile. BTW, I did tell her not to get the root canal, and explained why. But she "already had the appointment made." |

Implants have a lot of hit and misses from what I have been hearing. |
