There isn't actually such a thing as "the entire internet", it's a vast web of networked independent pieces, on purpose to survive nuclear attacks when Darpa invented it.

That being said, it's always useful to have stored the IP address of your favorite websites, not just their URL, in case the domain name registry system gets messed up.

Unfortunately GLP's got some security that makes it that you can't direct access the site by IP, so GLP is not going to be so useful long term in worse case scenarios.

It just feels like the internet will collapse any day now!
