I'm retired. I would be forced to go back to work after making enough to retire, I would not go quietly...

I have contributed more than most...

They were rebuilding their community.
Try to get that cooperation when trying to build something for someone else or for profit.

Where I live, people do do that for free. In fact, right now I can hear my husband’s brother weed whacking a neighbor’s yard for free. Not because the neighbor can’t afford it but because he has a weed whacker and it’s the decent human thing to do. Not everyone in this world is selfish and money grubbing.

My neighbors do share freely. We have a private Facebook group and people are always giving things away randomly or posting what they need and people give to them. Big things too, like washers, dryers, refrigerators etc.. I gave away a 6 burner commercial Wolf range and a brand new gas dryer last month. Just a few days ago, we were randomly gifted with a dining set, 2 Marin bikes and a nice office chair.
