Eventually someone will tell you they saw the cat. You may have walk around and talk to people everyday for a week or more to get this done. Also put up signs of course. :DOCSRBAFFLED::redblueLED::DONTBEAPANDEMICS: Only you can stop the fake pandemic for yourself, no one will ever tell you the pandemic is over. It's time to WIN. |

There's no easy way to see him outside. He's going to have to figure out how to jump onto the lower sill, then back up to the kitchen window sill.. By leaving the kitchen window open waiting for him to return/figure it out, I'm wasting money on heat.. ugh. ```````````````` ````__/\__`````` ~~~\____/~~~~ .~~..~~~....~~~ ~..~~~....~~~~ Thoughts do not come from you nor God; you do not create thoughts; you are not your thoughts; every thought is a lie. - 2 Corinthians 10:5 - [link to www.biblegateway.com (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77948266 United States 05/10/2021 06:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am so sorry OP :( I hope your cat comes back. I would also do what Butch suggested and ask people if they have seen him. I lost my little cat about a month ago now...but we think we figured out what happened to him...see we have a fox that has made my almost two acres his territory...and we think Lucy was eaten by the fox. So I will have to do what I have to do to that fox...it's not getting another one of my animals...I hope you don't live in the country like I do. If no, I would say you have a good chance of the cat coming back. I mean even if you do there is still hope cause it's only been 24 hours I would say...it's just that lots of hungry creatures in the woods :( Good luck OP and keep looking... |

Then brought him back inside. Hopefully that was enough for him to understand where his home/territory is, and that he'll be back. I posted pictures to the neighborhood app and craigslist with photos and general area. So, I hope that helps. Last year, my other cat got out and didn't come back for around 3 days, but he's a smarter cat than this one and is way more athletic.

I usually let a cat out who wants to be. I find an indoor outdoor cat lives longer, given they have a little common sense. Take his food bowl outside with a tiny bit of food. Rattle the shit out of it. Fatty is probably hungry and needs a nap. |

I once had a tom cat growing up and he could come and then go for months but always came back...until one day he didn't :( but we figured he found a cat family out there... |

(OP) User ID: 77825331 United States 05/10/2021 07:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Put his litter box outside!! This is the best method to get a lost cat back home. Quoting: (LSDMTHC) yes, good idea, idk if any other animals wouod be alerted though...may depend on where OP lives It's an automatic self-flushing litter box... But I could put something out there from his brother cat who doesn't use that litter box? BTW - I live in a suburb. We do have coyote though :/ And, I did see a fox once several years ago. Anonymous Coward User ID: 78618912 United States 05/10/2021 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My cat wants to break out of my house. Any chance she gets, she tries to make a break for it. I chase after her and have to tackle her to catch her and bring her back. She completely lacks any outside survival skills. She’d be eaten by a hawk or fox or get hit by a car. I don’t know why she’s so determined, but I guess it’s her nature to want to chase birds, bugs and bunnies outside. I hope your cat makes it back home. I think you should look for him, leave out food, keep hopeful. I one had a cat missing for 6 months come home. I swore he was abducted by aliens, he returned all thick haired and furel. |

I got her back oct 26...2 1/2 years ago now... don't give up hope.. and ask your guardian angel for help perhaps.. but I suspect he will be back just fine. |
