Cleve Backster did this in like the 70's with plants. Put EEG in plant and burn a leaf, EEG goes off the chart. Remove half of leaf and put across the room and burn it. Original EEG goes off the chart still.

It is like love and hate, these are entangled, now if I said indifferent that is the opposite of love or hate. That would be a third state, motionless. You could claim entanglement only kind of hate with something not in motion at all, no vibrations if it has frequency most world not notice it. That state is totally separate from either, it just dead space, these other too, are just entangled and could even flip sides.

I like science, but every time I try to read something about quantum my brian shuts down...

A: there are no Bh's or other Universes.
The reason entanglement's properties are so puzzling, is because at the fundamental level, every particle is part of Creation, created independently. That is why when you make weird "photon splits" both particles correlate - precisely because these were Created by God to originally (and forever) be 1 particle, no matter what you did to split these using a half-mirror or something. Its properties have already been assigned and are inseparable from Creation. Until decoherence, the "two" entities will behave as 1, since they are 1 as created.
